Aleksandar Adžić is a visionary storyteller whose multifaceted career spans screenwriting, directing, and producing. With a bachelor’s degree in film, Aleksandar first made waves in the industry through a series of original short films, music videos, and groundbreaking experiments in various media and genres. He is drawn to dramatic narratives, a passion reflected in his award-winning short films, which earned accolades for Best Screenplay at SBIFF and Best Documentary at the prestigious Hollywood Film Festival.
Aleksandar’s style is a dynamic blend of influences, channeling the surrealism of Jim Jarmusch, the intensity of David Lynch, the poetic depth of Andrey Tarkovsky, and the audacious flair of Quentin Tarantino. This unique vision was recognized on the set of his short film Inside the Grace, where a seasoned gaffer, known for his work on David Lynch’s films, remarked that Aleksandar’s approach to filmmaking was reminiscent of the master himself.
His talent extends beyond the screen, having spent four years actively involved in Eastern Europe’s acclaimed “Blue Theater,” where he honed his skills in the theatrical arts. His latest documentary, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, is now distributed in the United States, further cementing his reputation as a filmmaker of global renown.
Over the past two years, Aleksandar has focused on writing, completing seven screenplays he is eager to bring to life. When he’s not crafting cinematic masterpieces, Aleksandar channels his creativity into music, producing and recording four studio albums. His latest work, created in collaboration with renowned producer Ed Stasium, showcases his dedication to artistic excellence.
